The beds and shower were clean, and the staff was kind. However, the couch in our room was absolutely disgusting. It had several large still-crusty stains on it. Also, room 201 must border the top of the pool area, as there was loud echoing shouting clearly audible through the bedroom walls until 10pm (pool closing). We booked two rooms, one for my family and one for my parents to have a mini getaway for a couple night. Absolutely horrible place to stay! My poor parents had to put up with loud music all night long. The occupants of the room didn’t respond to management when they called or knocked. So guess what management did? Absolutely nothing. We checked in and there was a few different groups of people outside.. no issues. We left to go too my sons baseball game. When we got back there were groups of people outside again. When we checked in we got settled in. It was already after 10pm. The people above us were being very loud and stomping etc. At 11pm my son went to the front desk (I broke my toe earlier during the day so walking is rough right now). Very clean room, and spacious! Highly recommend!
If anyone is planning on traveling to the Chicago area I DO NOT recommend anyone to stay at the Country Inn and Suites in Zion. It’s a complete joke. Not only do they allow their guests to fight at 3 am in the hallways but they also allow guests to smoke pot in the hotel. I understand it’s legal in this state but when it’s a non smoking hotel go the hell outside. They also like to cover the smell with febreeze and lie to say they didn’t smell anything.
