First time here and I gotta say, this little place far exceeded our expectations. Food was really good, especially the *French Onion Soup* We ate at the bar and Marilyn -our server and bartender was Fantastic! The Country House is a nice, cozy, comfortable little place where everyone will (soon) know your name. I see this place becoming one for our regular hang outs.
I love this place. The everyone is friendly and efficient. The food is great. They make the great Blood Marys and Martinez. I would recommend going there. You will love it as much as I do.
I had the most wonderful time at the Country House last night before I had to attend a meeting. I was by myself and the ladies made me feel like it was home. They were so warm, making sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The food came quickly, and it was great! The staff is wonderful. Very warm and loving. Thanks for a great evening before my meeting.
i had the pastrami with swiss on a pretzel bun with sautéed vegetables. the meal was delicious. it was followed by a serving of the pumpkin bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream carmel sauce with whipped cream. it also was delicious. next time. i visit chicago i will also return to the Country House.
