I don't usually vent online but I can't let this one go. Counselors failed to request a tax certification - they got lazy because there was no mortgage company involved. That seemingly small oversight caused me to lose more than $20K, not to mention aggravation, long waits and hours on hold trying to prove to DCRA that the property was not vacant when I bought it. Long sad story but beware of the lack of attention to detail at Counselors.
