Ordered tires online, tracking showed they arrived at Costco same day, but didn't get an arrival confirmation email from Costco for two more days. Made an appointment to install new tires at 2:30pm a day later. Arrived at 2:25pm. Check-in process took 30 minutes, during which I was inexplicably passed from one service rep to another and they had trouble locating the tires that had arrived several days earlier. Should have listened to the reviews and gone to other Costco locations... 2.5 hours for an appointment for a simple tire change. Car was not even pulled in until over 2 hours passed. Incredible waste of time, for something that took about 20 minutes to do. What's the point of the appointment, and apparently I was LUCKY. Other people were all waiting longer, WITH appointments.
This review is for Anthony in specific. I purchased a battery from the tire center, went out to my vehicle in the parking lot to replace it myself, and had more trouble than I had expected. My wife and I were struggling, and Anthony took the time to come and help us out of the kindness of his heart. For 2 hours in the humid DMV heat, he took his time very gently with our car, making sure everything was perfect before we left. He didn’t need to help us, but insisted. Terrible experience. With an appointment it took 4 hours to get the tires changed. When I started complaining the guy working there tried to make it out like i was some unreasonable dickhead trying to get them to work twice as fast, as opposed to, oh i dunno, telling me that they're short staffed that day and it's going to take a totally unacceptable amount of time? Unhelpful, unprofessional, and not prepared. There is very poor communication with customers and even between members of the crew. It tooks several hours for them to look at a single popped tire only for them to tell me it needed to be replaced and didn't have the replacement tire, despite making an appointment several days in advance. They also started working on the car that brought in the tire, not the tire that was in the trunk as I had explained several times.
