Founded in 1947 by Frank Corti and his brother Gino Corti, Corti Brothers' mission was to expand the culinary experiences of Sacramentans by offering delicacies and wines not readily available elsewhere in the Sacramento area, thereby providing them with an appreciation for diverse cuisines. Toward this end, he sought to hire people who were interested in the products they sold. He would say, "At Corti Brothers we just don't hand people products, we also talk food with them."

My wife and I went here today for lunch. Just ordered a couple of basic sandwiches. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food. That's not cool. The sandwiches were good, but nothing special. We probably won't be back.
