Expect yearly rent raises until you can't afford it anymore, so the landlord can continue his construction project to double the price he can rent them out. The houses are made out of asbestos siding, the basement has mold, most of the houses haven't been updated in YEARS, and it shows. I have to duck tape the windows so bugs don't get in, as well as keeping the climate out of the house because of poor insulation. Maintenance never shows up, I've had a window open for 2 years because it is stuck that way, and they don't care... read more

Extremely cheap landlords, they rent out houses near the promenade that are not up to code, rotting windows, door frames, unfinished flooring, and many other issues both major and minor. They "fix" the issues with caulk and paint rather than do it right. Sad considering the houses if maintained properly would actually be able to be rented for a decent price. But currently the houses are probably closer to condemable than rentable
