It's been a great experience at Cornerstone Hospital of Clear Lake. Dr. Mougouris is the best doctor that I have every had, anytime that I have had to be admitted to the hospital, he has always diagnosed my illness correctly. He is so awesome. The nurses and patient care techs are very caring and shows compassion with caring for the patients. 2nd floor care was excellent. Once they moved my parent to the 3rd floor the nurses were rude. It took over 45 minutes for a nurse to come assist. Every 10 minutes I would go back to the nurses station to remind them.
Location: Burnet Rd in Austin, TX My grandmother was transferred over from St. David’s in Jan 2018. I believe she had the best experience at Cornerstone! I was there everyday and most nights. Every nurse and doctor from start to finish was excellent! Laura(Nurse Practitioner) was AWESOME! She was there for us every step of the way, even emotionally. Case Manager, John was great also! This place is absolutely horrible! They spread VRE to their patients by not following any standards of care for cross contamination. They actually tell patients to crap in their beds instead of providing them bed pans. This place needs to be shut down!
This was the worst health facility I have ever seen. My Dad was completely neglected until he finally passed away unnecessarily in the Broken Arrow, OK facility. I so wish we had taken him anywhere else, I feel like we’d still have him today if we had.
Worst facility I have ever seen for healthcare. Family member was transferred here for care after a MVA with severe brain trauma. They (Dennis)assured us he would start aggressive PT and get weaned off trach. After over 2 weeks the only thing they have done is cap off his trach. The PT dept is a joke and they don’t even have a chair lift to get the pts up to a chair. It was an act of Congress to even try to get them to start working with him. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO GET BETTER!!!
This place is horrible. Please don't send anyone there. They re Rome my husbands colar bone and he had the have surgery again! His night nurse was very hateful and when I asked her If my husband responded to her ( he was recovering from a motorcycle accident) she had no idea what that meant. REALLY!!! The staff will yell while in hallway and wake patients up! One lady that was taking care of a patient in the other room had long nails with so much dirt under them it was pathetic!!!
