Sweet Potato fries alone made the drive AOK! Tugboat is a favorite (fish and oysters). Years of very good experiences!
I'm not GF, but someone in my family is, so my ratings are comparing it to other GF alternatives. Fish-n-chips were good, chicken strips were dry and overcooked, fries were so-so, blackened fish taco was excellent, clam chowder was to-do, crab cheese soup was excellent, service was reasonable. A bit expensive, but in line with other gf /natural/raw food options.
The fish tacos were dry and aweful! Very expensive and most of the food was thrown away not worth eating. Never going back!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Loved this place! The entire menu is GF and their batter doesn't have milk or egg in it either which is hard to find in a restaurant. I was able to have onion rings, clam strips & fish n chips which I haven't had in a long time. The fish tacos looked amazing too.
I had the fish and chips today and being gluten intolerant, it was wonderful to go into a restaurant where I could choose anything on the menu! The fish was served quickly; hot, fresh and yummy along with the natural fries. The tartar sauce was amazing! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and even the restroom was clean and homey. I will definitely return next time I'm in Portland!
On our little Portland adventure, this was a favorite place to visit. Truly enjoyed the service and food and the Green Bay vibe!
