After four years of planning and construction, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in 2005 in Orland Park, a south suburb of Chicago. The concept was unique. We would create a signature menu with a selection of dishes designed to pair perfectly with our own Cooper’s Hawk wines, made in our own private winery. Good food, good service. I like the variety, and the portions were in line with my eating habits. Not a ton of leftovers. The only draw back was the water in the restroom was ice cold, which made hand washing uncomfortable and shocking. I love the idea of free samples of the wine while you wait. I will go back.
Have visited twice, and had a great experience both times. The happy hour wine tastings are a blast, our server (same both times) was informative and attentive, and the food is just as great as the wine! Intimate atmosphere, yet still had fun with a party of nine.
When we were seated, we were told we would get the "Royal" treatment. Once seated, our waiter did not come for over 10 minutes. Luckily another waitress was very helpful. It turned out our waiter had cut his finger and needed attention. I feel that someone should have covered for him. We had to ask for silverware. My chicken was literally burnt and I was not charged for it. I was offered to order something else but did not know if I would be charged for the second meal. The people with me had good meals.
