After four years of planning and construction, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in 2005 in Orland Park, a south suburb of Chicago. The concept was unique. Had to get up to find a waiter/waitress to take out drink order on NYE! Place should be on high alert wait staff on NYE. We were a party of 6 so the tip was at least $60. We left 20% because I blame management not the waitress.
So a had beeing in this restaurant 3 times, every time we were there they always are out of something 😡 Fist time we order a mai Thai but we order a second one and that said we are out of mai Thais also we order some dishe there were out. Second time was the appetizer I can remember the name. Thirt time my friend is vegetarian we order vegetarian burger we are out also Fush and chips they were out. The food and service here are excellent and well worth the price of admission. We started off with the candied bacon & cheese platter...it was awesome and I highly recommend it. Surf & Turf was perfect and the Banoffi pie was an amazing finisher. Loved the whole experience from the staff to the decor - just a great night out.
Was told they could not sit me for lunch at 2:30 pm because they were fixing tables for dinner. Really at 2:30 pm. I won’t be coming again.
It’s unfortunate to leave this review being that I am a member here. I normally love this place and suggest all my friends to try this place when they are searching for a new restaurant to try. Today I stopped in for lunch with my mother and ordered the Soy Ginger Salmon. Once it came out I noticed a hair on in. I had it sent out and and Manager brought me back a brand new one. I love Cooper's Hawk. I am a wine club member and enjoy every couple of months going by with friends or family, having a great meal and picking up my yummy wine. I went on Saturday afternoon with my mom for our birthday and it was unfortunately a bad experience. Aside from an unusual wait time for our food, which I can understand because it is the holiday season and they were really busy, I ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto and it was so bland it was un-eatable. The food was absolutely fantastic! Our waitress was so friendly and professional which made the night pleasant. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because we made reservations for 8:15 and instead of being seated in the restaurant side, they sat us in the bar area. Because we were on the other side of the building, our waitress had to run back and forth and often had to leave us for long periods of time. This is our absolute favorite place to eat. On our very first visit we were asked if we would like to join their wine club and we stated that we would think about it. By the end of that first meal, we were sold. Now we visit at least once a month and recently upgraded to the two bottle program.
