My son has been vomiting for months. We were sent to Dr. Davenport. He immediately started tests that nobody else would. His last test/surgery didn’t give him the results he wanted, so he’s scheduled to dig into the gallbladder further. He explains everything very well and isn’t going to stop till he finds out why my son is vomiting 4 times a week. I finally feel like we are in good hands for the first time in months
Please pick any other gastro to see. The NP here is absolutely awful and downright rude at times. After months of issues I asked if we could run a stool test, she asked why? Because I have been having irregular stools for months! Then if you’re a woman you’ll get the lovely diagnoses of “anxiety” and that will be that. Oh and the cherry on top is they will never call you to say you have a balance due, but I received a lovely letter from a collection agency on their behalf. Sub par care and just an awful practice.
Do not go here if you like your organs. I went here for right upper quadrant pain, and had a certain nurse practitioner refer me to a surgeon to have my gallbladder REMOVED due to alleged sludge. I immediately was suspicious of this and went to another reputable doctor who actually did scans and tests to test my gallbladder who informed me gallbladder sludge is asymptomatic and mine was just fine and that I just needed to take a laxative. When I did I immediately felt better. I wish I was making this up! DO NOT GO HERE.
Dr.Davenport was good until he wasn’t. After having drs fail to help me for a year I thought he’d be the one to and I was wrong. After pushing for me to get an endoscopy, I finally got one. Afterwards, I was basically abandoned as a patient. He called once briefly to tell me that he may be able to prescribe me different medicine but that he wants me to wait for the next flare up. Love Dr. Davenport , one of the best specialists I’ve been to. I was so nervous and had extreme anxiety towards my colonoscopy because I was convinced I had colon cancer for some reason (not the case). Dr. Davenport explained everything throughly & discussed all my symptoms with me. His positivity & attention to detail gave me a lot peace of mind.
