I've been a patient with RFP for over a decade. Yes, sometimes you have to wait for your doctors to see you because of the walk-ins and folks with higher priority health issues. If you have severe pain and think that you may need xrays, tests that cannot be done in the office, etc, I do suggest one of the many Doc Stops in the area. They will send information over to your PCP and suggest follow ups as needed. For primary care, I'm sticking with Dr. Cook!
I was able to get my daughter in to see her PCP on a Saturday which was very convenient to me & my schedule. We had minimal wait time and our issue was addressed with great care & concern. The nursing staff is very knowledgeable and the front staff is very friendly & genuine not like when we go to a specialists office where we are greeted with fake compassion and our messages go unanswered the front staff at Rappahannock Family Physicians always seem to amaze me with all that they have to juggle, great group of people my fam... read more
Appointment times are merely suggestions. You will consistently wait between 30-60 minutes past your appointment time to be seen.
Doctors are great and the front office staff are efficient and courteous. Reasonable wait time and easy parking.
* update: It was a bad experience before, now it's just awful. Yesterday I went in to drop off forms I needed filled out to register my kids for school. I was told they now hire out a company to fill out school forms and I will be charged $60.00! Are you kidding me?! When I questioned it her response was there are signs posted... we're looking for a new doctors office immediately. The front office staff is awful. They have the worst customer service skills I have ever seen. The doctors are good but wait time is ridiculous.
