As a banking institution Consumers has been great but Cenlar is their mortgage service provider. To say they are a nightmare to deal with is an understatement. They charge fee's with out notification, they do not mail required commuincations. The service staff are generalist and you will be transferred multiple times with no answer. I am having to involve an attorney to work through my issues. I will be filing a formal complaint if my issues are not resolved in the next week
STAY AWAY FROM CONSUMERS CREDIT UNION!! BAD. BAD. BAD COSTUMER SERVICE. NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. I contested fraud charges on my **** in June 2023 and they credited my account in full except for the interest and late fee charges against that balance. How can you charge a finance charge to what is supposed to be a zero balance?? So now they are threatening to take me to collections for not paying on my account that I had closed due to incompetence on their part. They are masters at giving you the runaround. STAY AWAY!!
My car was totaled on 6/18/2023 and since then my insurance company has paid them the payout portion. I have been working with the *** insurance company I have to pay the rest of the loan off. I have spoken to three I different people about my totaled car and how I won't be making payments on a balance that will be paid out by my *** coverage. We recently changed our banks and for our monthly automatic loan withdraw they deducted nearly $400 from both our old bank and new bank. This was over 2 weeks ago and I've done the live chat with them 3 times and today spent 15 minutes on the phone once and over 20 minutes again over the phone trying to get our money back. They have unfair practices, like only removing one late fee per the lifetime of a loan. Not willing to work with customer out of good faith. Extremely unprofessional customer service with hanging up on customers when they get upset with the situation. No having supervisor available to speak with and instead put a ticket in for a **************************************************************** a bind with their accounts.Not having a hardship plan for their customers.
Pleas people make sure you keep all your records on anything you do with Consumers credit union. I have a **** f150 and they helped us refinance it in 2022 now i got my hours at work cut and got behind 68 days ( june/july) when we called multiple times on 8-2-23 to get it taken care of they told us the amount we would need just over $1000 was owed. we got one payment made (june) which would dring it to one late payment $513 for july. on 8-3-23. we called same day and asked about other possible alternatives they trying to say... read more
Terrible customer service. I wish I never did business with them. I closed my account and they hit my credit report in a way that I cannot open any new lines of credit or CDs or anything. I'm sorry but how do I go from a perfect credit report, 850 score, 6% credit utilization, 24+ year excellent credit history, to not being able to open any new accounts? CCU really screwed me over.
Where do I Begin? I have had ongoing issues with this bank. They scammed me out of $2360. They have no sense of records in their company- every person you speak to has a different answer with different information. They almost made me default on my auto payment I signed up for autopay with a rep, that was never done. They kept calling for the payment and finally after begging them 3 times to take my payment out of my bank account info I had given them 2 months ago they finally took my payment. Their online banking website is atrocious. Every single time they make an "improvement" or changes, it's messed up for long after the supposed fix was to take place. Their customer service is usually not up to par. I've called 3 days in a row now about errors that are still keeping me from managing my accounts and credit cards.
