I trained with CFCI, and witnessed my first trainer pin a non verbal kid between the wall and a table because the child didn’t want to engage with the material. The trainer then went on to talk about the child as if she didn’t exist and was incapable of understanding, a general sentiment carried on by both mentors and coworkers. Having worked in the field for over a decade, CFCI is by far the most compassionate agency I have worked for. Their focus on client-centered therapy as well as their emphasis on professional development of all of their team members is unprecedented!
