Tuscany (formerly Conquest) Student houseing – All the "one start" ratings are absolutely correct. -Yes. If you are idiotic enough to sign a lease with Westar Management, know, in writing, EXACTLY what you are getting into. They honestly SCAM you. Mila told me they get many many calls each year of complaints. HELLO?!!!??? You get it? Please, everyone, DO NOT LIVE AT TUSCANY.
Conquest is out to scam parents and students. – Conquest Student Housing is a SCAM! If you look at the reviews on this page, all of the user names are just fake USC related names, probably written by that no good snake Dion Lemon. I lived in Habitat Soo Zee last year, and it was a complete dump with a nice facade. Tuscany- over priced, terrible rude service, and poor quality – I am living in Tuscany apartments right now. The website and the staff fool you into thinking you are living in the lavish apartments for USC students. There are stains on the carpets down EVERY hall way, black marks all over the walls, the elevators break every day and they are in no hurry to fix anything. Spend you money elsewhere! – Once they have you on a lease that's the last you'll see ANY customer service. They take you money and spend it on their fancy office not on the apartments. Do yourself a favor...Go somewhere else!
Do it at your own risk. – Honestly, if you're lazy enough to live in conquest and not search out one of the many better housing options near SC, then you deserve all their crappy service. Sure, they won't return security deposits and are anally retentive shiester slum lords....but no one forced you to live with them. I had a friend who wanted me to live with him in one of their crappier units. an OK choice for a not-so-much-available choice neighborhood – I was a tenant at Conquest for two years and finally moved out when I was done with school last June. Conquest was mediocore overall - they seem to listen to your problems and do take care of the issues but not always in a timely manner. DO NOT LIVE IN CONQUEST HOUSING. EVER. – I'm a USC grad ('08) and just finished 2 years with these slumlords. Only under very unusual circumstances would I recommend Conquest. Just google them, or search USC's or UCSB's student newspaper archive, and you'll soon see why there are so many complaints about the company. (Rumor, though only a rumor, says the positive reviews were written by Conquest employees.) Service You Won't Find Anywhere Else – I think Conquest is the best housing in the area because the people there actually care. When they upgraded my building to HiDef, I was unable to get it to work. They sent a guy to my apartment who worked on it for two hours and still could not get it up. He drove all the way from my apartment at Carolina to the office to get another box and returned back to my apartment to try again. He ended up staying until 11 pm to get it working because he knew I wanted to watch the basketball game... read more
Great, All Inclusive Housing – Conquest is the greatest because they do not nickel and dime you like all the greedy landlords in the area. They include parking, Internet and Hi Def Dish Network in rent. Who else does that???
