That staff is excellent and are willing to work with plenty of situations. Pet friendly units and affordable for students!
Lived in conifer between 2014-2015 and really enjoyed it. The units are built very well. Much better than copper, campus view, and many other off-campus housing in Allendale. The people who work in the office are very willing to help you out as long as you respect them. The walk to the bus stop isn't bad at all. I really enjoyed living so close to ravines as you could hike down there and explore. My only complaint would be the security of conifer. Out of all the places I have lived at during my time at GVSU, Conifer Creek was the best. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the apartments themselves are great. The layout is perfect and the community is quiet which is nice if you just want to relax. Everyone is friendly and willing to help you out if you need something like a baking pan or anything simple. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Conifer Creek is a great place to live! I moved here hoping to cut down on my utilities bill and other expenses such as rent from another apartment complex that clearly was in the business to strip college students of their money. Conifer has really exceeded my expectations! Even with our heat cranked up all winter and the air on all summer, we pay MAYBE 20$ a piece, usually lower than that even and we are an end unit, and the rent is affordable. Out of all of the places I have lived around GVSU, Conifer Creek is by far the most accommodating and the friendliest I have encountered! If I ever have any sort of issue, I send them an email and they're quick to respond in a helpful manner. The management is spectacular! The Office Manager, Danielle, not only has learned my name but she has learned about my interests, giving the complex a very welcoming atmosphere. I love living at Conifer Creek. It's a quiet place with one of the cheapest pet deposits you will find in Allendale. I have never seen snow on my porch because the management shovels it away so quickly. The management is really nice and kind. Danielle, the office manager, is really polite and takes the time to learn every resident's name. The rooms are spacious, the area is home-like. I love living here! It's only a quick walk to the bus stop, so you get in some exercise ;)
They have done such a good job with plowing so far this winter. They even plow the parking spots! The guy is also constantly shoveling the side walks.
Horrible management, doesn't know what the hell they're doing with numbers. Constantly telling me fees fines and dues with no invoice or breakdown of the charges. Fines and fees reached over $2,000 at one point. Never gave me keys because they didn't have copies, yet they insist they gave me keys. Don't forget about the trash thats scattered all around the town homes. STAY AWAY FELLOW LAKERS!!
There is no way this place is worth a 4.0 rating! I signed a lease in early April 2014 so I could move in August 2014, but now I have no where to stay because they have the power to do whatever they want regardless of the LEASE AGREEMENT! So long story short they assumed I wanted out just because two of my roommates I knew wanted out, they never asked me personally though, so they just gave my unit away to someone else and there's nothing I can do about it. They do very very very bad and unfair business so STAY AWAY!
