Our family received great care and support from Compassionate Care in Alexandria - in particular, Bill T, Tiffany and Allison - the BEST in difficult times.
I have been supporting a friend through end-of-life care with her father. She has hired Compassionate Care Hospice and has felt their care has helped. However, this last week when she asked for more pain meds because she knew the prescription would run out over the weekend, the hospice nurse did not listen to her. On Oct 18th on around 8:30 my sister contacted Compassionate Care to inform them that my mom B/P was seriously dropping, so they suggested that we wait on a nurse to be called out to assess my mother’s condition which could’ve take over hours and my mom was in desperate need of medical treatment. My sister used her better judgment to contact Acadian Ambulance Service. EMT’s on the scene stated that they had to get my mom to the Emergency Room ASAP , bc her b/p was steady dropping.
