We sponsor 5 children from different parts of the world. Their letters are priceless. They are so appreciative for their sponsors. It will warm your heart and put life in perspective for you. While Western kids ask for toys, phones, video games; these kids ask for prayers for their health, that they will be good children and prayers for their families. They also tell us that they are praying for us!! Praise God for this organization.
Blessed to be part of the solution! if every privileged American family sponsored a child from a Central American country, their families would feel less of a need/desire to enter the US illegally and often dangerously!
Compassion Int'l has provided me an opportunity to stay in touch with a little boy from Peru who enjoys writing me and telling me all the things he likes to do. I write him and talk about the things we have in common. I not only have the honor of sponsoring him, I'm building a relationship that hopefully will last a lifetime. I have sponsored a child with Compassion for over 15 years now, a few different kids during that time. They change the lives of kids in need and introduce them to Jesus. This is an organization you can trust!
In the 90s I was a penpal with a boy my age from Ecuador. It really was a wonderful experience and I wish more people would do Compassion International and sponsor a child! I do wish after all these years though I could find this boy (now a man) and see what has become of him.

I just trust compassion international to look after the children and teach them the Word of God. I'm also a volunteer correspondent so children will get letters. It works!

Compassion International is a great organization for people of any income level to impact those in need and spread the love of Christ. They are beyond friendly, and I love being able to communicate with my sponsor child, nothing is more humbling.
