I had a horrible nurse named Jennifer who didn’t care about my situation. Showed no empathy and she made me feel dumb for the medical terms she was using. I consistently asked for ice and during that time frame she asked me why I had an attitude and I said because I don’t feel like I’m being treated fairly. She reply’s with “ this is an ER”. RecommendedI can't believe the incredible experience we have had in the labor and delivery department here. So much care and thoughtfulness from the whole staff of nurses, midwives, etc. I wish I could write a detailed report for each one. It has been really hard to recognize them because of the masks so it's nearly impossible and it breaks my heart that I can't put a face to the wonderful people here at St Vincent. Staff I encountered when I had my small back surgery there 2 weeks ago was all nice. They were very good at making sure I was comfortable and kept asking if I needed anything. Thank you all for your hard work.
Fantastic hospital, with incredibly compassionate medical staff, that brings their A game and more to the table of healthcare. Special shout out to the surgical unit for the amazing services they provide and the awesome teamwork that they share.
My daughter has several medical issues and we usually go to Providence Portland. We are on the coast and were heading to the ER when I called an ambulance that brought her here. She has gotten excellent care from the moment she arrived from the ER staff, nurses, hospitalist, dietician, X-ray, CNAS. I can’t rave enough about well she has been treated. Finally a compassionate team who shows empathy of what she is growing through. This hospital is now our go to.
Great staff! Especially their Security Department!
the thing I find most disturbing about this hospital is they still are not protecting their doctors and nurses during the covid-19 outbreak. people are not allowed to wear their own n95 or better unless they are in certain departments. One of my own friends is terrified to go to work. stop treating your employees like Expendable objects. procedure masks are not protection.

Both my Dad and Uncle, both i their 70s, were admitted to your hospital with Covid19. Despite their compromized immune systems, due to preexisting conditions, your staff fought to heal them, and within 2 days of receiving the malaria drug, both of them were released from the hospital to finish recuperating at home. My Dad lives 2 hours away, and i was so scared that i would never get to see, hug, or talk to him again. the care, compassion, and expertise of your staff is something i will be grateful for until the day I die. t... read more
