I broke my foot in five places yesterday. Went to the ER at St Vincent’s and everything was great-despite the excruciating pain until they put the splint on. I was given a LOT of opioids through an IV and as soon as the plaster set someone came in and said did I want crutches or a walker because I needed to go home now. Tried the crutches and as soon as I took three steps I felt like I was going to pass out on the spot. So they let me rest for another few minutes-same thing. ...Continue Reading

Great Hospital with caring and professional staff. I suffered a stroke in Albany and was air lifted to St Vincent hospital ER, and surgery. My neurosurgeon is one of the best here in Oregon and has his practice at St Vincent as well. The hospital was very clean and I received excellent care from all the nurses and their staff in neurological ICU.
Great hospital.. I have had multiple procedures preformed there and always with the utmost professional care and most up to date equipment and rooms. This is one of many hospitals in the Providence system, and each of them really good, but St Vincent's s the best simply because of the staff, and attention to detail everywhere in the hospital and medical center. Our (nearly) 4yo is a frequent flyer at multiple children’s hospitals. Being a complicated kiddo with a trach from lung disease, primordial dwarfism and now epilepsy.... he’s been to some of the best hospitals in the west. We can truly say we have not had better experiences than the St. Vincent picu. The 3 rotating doctors are exceptional. This is clearly not a safe hospital for LGBT+ people. My friend's job interview here was shut down halfway through because he is gay. We'll keep spreading the word until your homophobic policies change.
