Tom Porto recently provided us with a bath/shower replacement estimate. He was on time for the appointment, knowledgeable of the services and products. Very sociable and professional. When asked he offered advice and made recommendations.
We recently had a salesperson visit our home to provide an estimate for updating our bathroom. We ultimately decided that converting our existing bathtub into a walk‑in shower would be the best option for us. Throughout the appointment, however, the sales representative’s behavior was extremely pushy. He repeatedly changed the quoted price, continually adding new “discounts” and then conveniently rounding the total to an even number, which felt suspicious and unprofessional. We have decided to do a tub to shower conversion. We did have a few different companies give us estimates for getting the work done. Chuck Burgio came to our home and gave us an invaluable lesson in the process. He thoughouly explained what would be done, how I would be done and the materials to be used. We were show actual samples of all the materials and our options from the floors to the walls to the ceiling right down to the hardware. Chuck also let us know how each choice would effect our cost. We love our new shower! Thomas Porto was a helpful salesperson, and the workers were respectful, kind, and diligent to get the job done in two days. The process was seamless and the end result is just beautiful. We highly recommend them!
Caulk is starting to get all moldy from the inside and lift away. Nothing will remove the mold and we have adequate ventilation in the bathroom. It started after less than 2 years of the tub surround being done. It is also starting to separate from the surround and there are areas where it’s not even fully sealed and there are gaps. My cousin (who worked for a bath remodeling company) looked at the caulk job after it was done and said it was not done correctly and was rushed.
