This 1883 Victorian home, with its impressive white columns, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While Columns Hotel may not be the most modern of hotels, it is full of a charm that can only be found in the Big Easy. It was designed by Thomas Sully, a great architect of New Orleans. The hotel is also the only surviving building out of many that he designed.

The Columns is truly a gem of New Orleans. This place beautifully preserves a sense of design detail in architecture and antiques that has long been lost and is such an incredible piece of history.
First they quote you one price when you reserve the room, then arrive, a/c not working in room, there for a wedding claimed we weren’t in wedding party yet I was mother of groom. Stayed in hot room one night, moved us to another room, elevator not working. I’m elderly with bad knees and back. And had to walk 6 flights of stairs up and 6 flights down and on last day had to carry luggage down 6 flights. We were there for a wedding. This hotel is beautiful.
The service was great! Claudio is an excellent waiter. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a wonderful dining experience.
