Dr. Luthra has performed my mother’s cataract surgery, and he did a wonderful job. My mother is very happy and pleased with the results. For background: my mother has only one working eye (the other eye has been non-functional for 20+ years). So, she was very apprehensive and stressed about having surgery on her only good eye. Dr. Luthra and his colleagues are great. I had cataract surgery in both eyes and the results were super -- essentially perfect vision at all distances. The process was easy and my check-ups since then are a breeze. Highly recommended.
Getting an ophthalmologist appointment in DC isn’t easy, and I’m so happy I went here. I was referred to a larger practice by my optometrist but they had no availability for three months. Dr Luthra was fully booked too, but his staff updated his zocdoc page with cancellations so I could see he had an opening sooner - called and got an appointment. This practice was highly recommended to me by a friend, and I could agreed more. The overall experience was great, from the front desk to exams to the Doctor’s attention and his engagement.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN ANNUAL VISIT! They don't recognize annual visits and bill as a specialist visit, so you will be strapped with bills amounting to hundreds of dollars as they also require TWO visits for your annual.
