CBW seems great until labor. “Through every single contraction they were there helping me push forward.” “It didn’t matter that my baby wasn’t born at the center, they were all right by our side the whole time.” Reading these testimonials is what made me choose CBW for my birth experience. Sadly, my experience was the opposite of these reviews. I debated for a long time whether to share my story because I wanted to love my time at CBW, and it’s important for pregnant people to have options on where to give birth. However, my... read more

This place is a joke. I was due 12/9. Was two weeks late so had to be transferred to hospital. I’m literally almost 6 months postpartum without a refund from them although I did not use their facilities for my birth. Meanwhile I’m out another grand+ at the facility that actually did birth my baby. The owner, Miki, tells me some new thing I need to do in order to get my refund check every time I talk to her, and I’m not able dispute with the bank because the transaction was so long ago. If I were you, I’d go to the other Denv... read more

I was using my contraction timer, been in early labor for about 5 hours and had hit the 5-1-1 rule. I called back the midwife team and from the start, I was being dismiss... read more

The midwives are absolutely lovely. Their billing practices are horrifying. And their billing department will take months to reply to you and it won’t make any sense. Edit: I see several defensive replies from the birth center blaming insurance carriers for reimbursement delays. I want to then preemptively state that our insurance provider has been transparent and easy to communicate with, even going so far as to reach out to the birth center directly and advocate on our behalf. We were a transfer while in labor due to what ... read more
