COLOR ME MINE Pittsburgh is on FACEBOOK – with tons of ceramic pieces to choose from I found myself creating a great DIY project I was proud of. The staff is totally friendly and helpful. We all had a great time.

Good for a special gift I went with my two children (ages 3 and 5) during a weekday. It was a good time to go. It's a small studio, so if your children are extra active, take a friend to help with the kids or go alone. The service was OK. It was $7 per child paint time and $9 for myself, plus the two pieces we bought ($15.50 and $2). Remember, you'll have to parallel park on either side of Forbes Avenue where the studio is located. It was all worth it to make a special Father's Day gift for Dad.

Fun Activity I went to color me mind one afternoon with a girlfriend. We had a wonderful time. It is a nice place to spend time to catch up with friends. When you arrive, you pick out a piece of pottery you would like to paint. They have all sorts of items, from dishes to picture frames. Then you paint the item you have picked out. They have special paint that is safe for food dishes. This would be a nice mother?s day outing for something different.

great place if need some entertainment It is a very enjoyable place if you ever have a free afternoon. I do not recommend children under 7, since most children do not have the patience to sit and paint for long periods of time. They were very helpful and nice to deal with.

Such a fun time What a great way to spend a girls day. I loved my experience here. My mother, aunt, cousin and I went to Color Me Mine for a girls day and it was wonderful. Not only were we able to be creative and expose our inner artist, we had a blast with each other. My belly hurt from laughing all day. Such a great experience.

Awesome store--decorate your own pottery! There's this really cute little store in Squirrel Hill where they sell all this blank pottery. You can paint it any way you'd like and they'll fire it for you and you can take it home. It takes a week to get it back after you finish painting it. The prices are pretty reasonable and this makes a great gift. Some ideas are to make a plate for a kid's birthday, a vase for your mom, or a bread plate just for you. Even if you can't draw or paint, they can help you with stencils and such..... read more

Great for kids This is a great place to take the kids on a rainy day, or even better for a birthday party. You can paint on any number of items and they will fire it for you. The prices go up the larger the item. But overall it is reasonably priced.

A paint-it-yourself ceramic studio to stimulate those creative juices you thought you had lost after childhood. – The Scene "Everyone can paint ceramics," I was told as I walked into the store. After mulling over the huge selection of ceramics, from frogs to candleholders, I picked a square plate to create my masterpiece. A friendly employee helped me pick paints that worked well together out of the 75 bright underglaze paints. Now it's creation time. The Plan The store recommends you draw your design in pencil, to get a fee... read more
