Was there (again!) today with my daughter, her boyfriend, and my youngest son to share the experience of a classic American restaurant serving great food at reasonable prices. No "hipster" food, kitchy pretense, or new twists. Just the stuff we loved growing up eating served in a warm, friendly environment by people who actually care. Hidden gem in Northern KY. Fed 4 people for under $50!
Amazing fried chicken served family style with all the comfort food sides! Kayla, our server, went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful experience, giving us a sample taste of "Goetta", which we had never tasted. Thank you for the awesome experience. We were really made to feel at home on our travels!
Our server tonight was katie. She was amazing. She heard my grandfather came out just for the creamed cauliflower and made sure before they were completely sold out that he got a portion of it. He was so happy which in turn makes me happy. Thank you for the wonderful service amid the chaos that is all you can eat chicken night ;)
Fried chicken was delicious and our server Kayla was outstanding! It was a great dining experience!
I liked the friendly service and quiet dining room. I eat at Colonial Cottage to get the specials and the homemade pie.

I have lived in Erlanger all my life. Colonial Cottage has always been a decent place to eat. I have ALSO eaten goetta ALL MY LIFE. What the cottage serves now is no where even close to what I consider goetta. They need to go back to serving Gliers goetta. On top of that, it cost $3.69 for one slice that between my husband and I we couldn't even finish. Mr. Grimes......it was a pathetic excuse for goetta, please go back to Gliers!
Our first visit and first time having goetta and both were good! My grits and home fries were delicious and my husband enjoyed the Bluegrass special. We ordered fried chicken to go for our drive back to Ohio and it was delicious. My only complaint is the coffee, it was gross, not sure the brand, but you might want to consider a different brand. Thanks!
