We purchased a home listed by Coldwell Banker with a VA Loan. Coldwell Banker hired an appraiser - who is also a realtor for them, Bill Eckert, to do the report. In my opinion, he falsified information to push the bank loan through to get rid of annoying clients. One week after we moved in - the furnace was red tagged because it was leaking carbon monoxide. Why was this not flagged as a code violation or safety issue in the appraisal report?
