Cogs was hired to replace the front porch and several 3rd story windows. In the past, we've had experience with contractors not showing up for days at a time, cutting corners or finding change orders under every rock. A tree feel across our garden shed, across the carport, and onto the bedroom roof, breaking the skylight. We chose Cogs Construction after interviewing 3 different professionals. John did a fantastic job of rebuilding the carport from scratch -- it is incredibly sturdy and could survive even another tree falling on it. He was also remarkably personable. Knows his stuff & someone who makes the whole experience a breeze and delivers excellent quality results at a great price. I would recommend him without hesitation.
John and his team have done several prjects in my home (painting / Built in book shelves / Wainscoting) - Their workmanship is fantastic! I could not have been happier with the results. Good workmanship and nice company to deal with. Gave estimate and the price was near what they quoted. no hidden costs. The job was efficient and completed in a timely manner. Installed several kitchen cabinets and repairs were made. Use them again when I need their services.
John and his crew were extremely professional, thorough, careful, and a delight with which to work. He was in and out of our house for well over a month, and we were extremely pleased with all of the results. He gave input when necessary and guidance when asked. And, he truly cares that his customer is happy. I look forward to a future project with John and his crew. He loves what he does, and it shines through in every conversation and project.
I hired John and Cogs Construction as a referral from another contractor to do a small job that I had received estimates for but did not want to hire that contractor. I explained what we needed to do and when we met in person, John suggested an alternate solution which ended up costing us almost $3000 less than the original estimate.
