I’ve always loved this cafe! The construction on Teutonia actually wasn’t a problem for parking. Staff is sweet and hospitable and the food tastes just like home. ❤️⭐️❤️⭐️❤️⭐️
Love the Peach Mango tea and the waffles and pancakes also the potatoes

Went on a Saturday mid morning. First time there. Wish was a bit more organized. Had to ask other customers the process. Need a hostess by the door. after signing in didn't take too long to be seated, but we waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out, brought out 2 different orders to our table but not ours. Food was pretty good when it finally came. I suggest a sign directing people where to get on the list and where the line is to pay. I might go back but most def not on a Saturday.
Coffee Makes You Black has a warm homey feeling yet great for meetings, chats with family/friends along with a grand meal. Myself and a professional colleague of mine visited for brunch and meeting planning, we were given good service and ran into other local people we hadn’t seen in years! I recommend visiting and enjoy your coffee ☕️ & meal.
great spot for coffee and breakfast
The staff was very friendly but super slow. They were kinda full but did nothing abnormally busy. We were there for over 45 minutes and never even received our drink order. We left. As I am a tourist and frequent Milwaukee pretty often i wanted to have a go to spot. I am big on supporting small black owned business when possible but I however can not recommend.
