Purchased Codel 32" fiberglass door from Chinook Lumber in North Bend WA in 2019. This is a man door in garage and gets very little use. By 2022 the door sweep was shredded. Ordered & installed a new one. One year later it is shredded again. Talked to Codel today and they offer no help - first the guy says "it happens all the time", then he says he's been there 3 years and never seen it happen..............ask him which it is and he has no answer. The only thing worse than the quality is the customer service and warranty. Codel doesn't stand by thier product. Do yourself a favor....buy doors from a company that deserves your hard earned money.

We ordered a Codel door and frame through Home Depot and had Home Depot's recommended door installer do the installation in our house. The door was delivered strapped to an elaborate pallet and frame so as to protect it from damage, which it did. Door arrived in perfect condition. Home Depot's door guy did an excellent installation. Everything fits perfectly. We did our own painting to save a few bucks. I would give this company a zero. Received a French fiberglass door 10/2020 through Home Depot. . Installed two days later. The gaps between the doors were large and the five locking system was off. Codel requested pictures and said the door was not installed properly. The set screw on the active handle was stripped by codes as well leaving the handle loose and wobbly. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Ordered front and back doors through Home Depot. HD sent RFI to install the doors. As soon as the back door was installed we noticed the window pane of the door was bowed outwards. Keep in mind, these doors are brand new and this is the first day we received the doors. We had to work through Codel to get a replacement part sent in. The person handling our claim told us it is because of the heat trapped in because of the storm door. I ordered my Codel door through Home Depot. I was not sure what I wanted, other than a leaded glass door. The manager, suggested this company and said that it “was his favorite.” We chose a door and it was ordered. The door arrived and CTI (the installers for HD in my area) called to schedule. Entered my warranty claim on a Codel 10 light fiberglass door in which the glass insert is leaking water and the door is warped (bowed). They are a very hard company to get a hold of anyone on the phone. Claim was 4 weeks old and they hadn't assigned a tech to look at the door yet. With my persistence they did schedule a tech and have told me they will replace the entire door slab next week. Don’t want to give Codel even one star but if like last attempt it would not post without at least one. Been trying to get problems with our $5,000 Codel fiberglass door with side glass panels repaired or replaced for two years. Sealant expansion caused paint to blister and panel staples to pull out and bow. Our contractor has been stonewalled by this organization for over 2 years, at least. On side of our french door was warped, they came out after about a year, decided to replace the one side, but it was warped also. Their solution was to add thicker weather stripping, but the door is still warped and doesn't fit the opening correctly nor does it seal properly, allowing for heat leakage. The doors are not pre-primed, ergo, paints don't properly adhere and will peel after exposure creating another problem. This door will be... read more
