For 30 years, we've been serving our customers the best Mexican food, zesty margaritas and ice cold cerveza. We feature a famous Sunday brunch served from 10-2 every Sunday with all of the family favorites. It is offered with unlimited champagne, omelet station, American and Mexican dishes, wonderful desserts and soft serve ice cream for the kids.

Outstanding Food and Excellent Service – I've been several times to both the Escondido and San Marcos locations and these are the two finest Mexican food restaurants in San Diego; hands down! In hard times Cocina Del Charro delivers with great food for reasonable prices!!! – Great restaurant , my family love going to Cocina, their food is awesome, my favorite are the Supreme Nachos (Wow) they also have a Brunch that is to die for for only a couple of bucks more than a regular item ( sooooo worth it.). Great Food at a Reasonable Price!!!! – I have gone to this restaurant multiple times because the portions are big, the food is really good and most importantly, it is reasonably priced. In this economy my family and I are looking for ways to save without sacrificing quality and we have found that this restaurant is the perfect solution. Great food at a reasonable price. I recommend you try the guacamole dip and the fajitas . . . it's a party in your mouth!
It doesn't get any more authentic than this! – There are so many amazing things about this place, but the best is the family recipes that have been wow-ing the customers for decades. Best Mexican in Escondido – My wife and I have been here several times, and each time we were impressed. The employees are very polite, and service was fast. The drinks are very good, and not watered down like some restaurants seem to do. We had their enchiladas and taco meal, and the servings were generous. It appeared to be very well run and clean restaurant. We are going there again today for lunch.
san marcos location – We adore Mexican food, and love to find new places to eat. This is NOT the place to go. We went to Cocina del Charro today, and can honestly say that it was the WORST tasting food we have ever had. It was simply awful. Our favorite Lunch – As my workplace is very close, we eat here at least once per week. The food is consistently good. You get a ton of food and will never leave hungry. They are very generous with making substitutions on the combo meals. I have never paid for chips there and I have probably eaten there 100 times. I have no idea what some people are talking about. They should call it Cochina del charro – Dirty bathroom, slow service. smelly air. And you have to pay for extra chips! been there 2 times by force the second time and never, ever will go back. good riddance
BEST FOOD EVER – FANTASTIC EATS!! SERVERS VERY FRIENDLY, PLACE IS VERY CLEAN, ATMOSHERE IS GREAT, FOOD SERVED QUICKLY..WE ATE AT THE NEW ONE IN SAN MARCOS AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. PRICES ARE REASONABLE AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
