Our transmission shop has been in business in Winchester since 1987. We are a member of the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association ( ATRA ). As an ATRA member, our transmission shop adheres to the service and repair definitions that are part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics. I was referred to Cobra transmission by an auto mechanic in my church who had them fix his tranny while he was sick. The first time we visited them was for a second opinion. We'd been given a $600 estimate by another repair shop that was in Richmond. Within a day we had our estimate from Cobra--about $75. That repair lasted us for six years. We put a lot of miles on our car. My husband used to drive from Irvine to Richmond and now drives from Winchester to Richmond daily for work. In addition to that we make trips between 50... read more
