Wife and I had a fantastic time with Geoff at the main bar. Chef Eng has done an amazing job with the menu. Our bartender Geoff was so great that we decided to have our meal with him at the bar. The best part was that Bart Weiner didn't throw me out. Will definitely come back again.
My first time experiencing the incredible and unique ambiance of this remarkable restaurant. So much fun visually to look at and enjoy all the clever details. You really feel like you're in the Adirondacks! And the food and service was excellent. Can't wait for the winter as several rooms have big fireplaces! And it's much closer than I thought. Not downtown Rockville at all.
Normally I love the food! This time not so much.. found hairs in my fruit and on my drink. And stuck to the mustard cap.. and omelette had very little chorizo in it. Very disappointing
The atmosphere and decor is nice. The waitress was new but very attentive. The Cream of Crab Soup had little crab and was gluey. The Reuben Sandwich unfortunately was not up to par. The bread was not properly toasted and it quickly became completely soggy and was a very messy affair to manage. The corned beef was homogenous and lacked it taste.
Tower Oaks Lodge is very good - everything is well prepared and served. Expensive but well worth the cost.
Still the best Clydes. Which is saying something...
