Although the food and drinks were good and our server very helpful and friendly, I cannot rate this place with more stars than 3 stars for the following reason. A party of five of us were there to celebrate a coworker’s new assignment. We were seated at a booth. I asked if we could be seated at a table with chairs and was told the tables in that section were only for parties of six. Our bartender, Jeff, provided excellent service with an authentic sense of humor! Great food and selection. Beautiful setting. I’ll be back!!
This is 2.5 stars. We were seated in the worst room of the restaurant. It was stuffy, with people bumping us or making a dramatic effort not to, because it was so crammed. Our server was very nice but she only stopped by the table once. Food was mediocre. Not bad, but also not memorable. Our other restaurant choices were full which was why we gave Clyde’s a shot. Very disappointed and these two foodies will not be returning.
The cuisine was superb. The place exquisitely decorated. The service was great; however, what would have made the service excellent was not feeling like we were a drive-by when asking if all was good. Our server could have been more attentive and just not had breezed by asking questions hoping to get an “ok” vs a request. And when we did have a request we had to ask another server. Great service; great food and a wonderful setting and lovely wooded view. Valet parking is a plus.
Always a great meal!
Hung out at the bar for the Raw Bar Happy Hour. Drank great wine, had amazing Oysters and Shrimp. Our bartender was great, I can’t remember his name but he is Cuban. I have been for dinner a few times (love the food and service). You can’t beat the Raw Bar Happy Hour!
The exterior and interior are beautiful. Very special. Our waiter did his job well. The food was so-so. The Chesapeake Bennie was too salty and the muffin at the bottom very hard to cut. The fried potatoes were over cooked and cold. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen.
