great food, beautiful decor
Shrimp and grits were great!
Last night, we enjoyed Clyde's good food and comfortable atmosphere as always -although infrequently - we are not in Columbia that often. This was the first time to this Clyde's in 2 years and, quite frankly, we were just blown away by exceptional customer service and their awesome staff. From the moment we walked in til we left, it was a clinic on how to provide 5 star outstanding service and create a loyal clientele. We'll definitely be going back more often.
friendly service great food and scenery
Sitting here on our Anniversary. Had a reservation for 7:00 a group walked in right after us with no reservation and got seated before us at a very nice table. We however were stuck in the corner of the restaurant. Both ordered the steak to be told they were sold out. Waited an hour for our meal and was told would get a discount. Love Clyde’s bar. Classic old school bar where adults can go and have a drink or two without being surrounded by twenty-somethings looking to get trashed or hook up.
So the food was good but a bit on the over salty side. I think a little less salt on everything would be good. The service was VERY slow.. it took us 3 hours! I think our server was a bit overwhelmed with tables or new at the job or something. I would still go back though.
