bb tried the lobster bisque. It was... less than expected. Cream of crab was tasty, and I didn't get a chance to eat off Marc's plate but the baked cod was good (mmm sauce). I tend to worry about desserts being too much sweetness? But the strawberry sorbet hit the spot :)
Great food, great service and great location! Maine lobster was fantastic and well worth the wait as we had no reservation on a Saturday night! The wait at the lakefront was enjoyable and we even saw a white egret!
Celebrated my daughter's 23rd birthday with family & friends...Brunch was good
My son and I stopped in at 11:30 on a Saturday morning, having just moved him out of his dorm. I was wearing a Grateful Dead tee (!), but we received gracious service from beginning to end, with a seat overlooking the water and the best meal we have had in a long time. I love cream of crab soup, and am very picky about it, and yet we agreed that it was the best cream of crab we had ever had. (Something about a combination of sherry and -- butter?? Fabulous.) Clyde's used to be one of my favorite restaurants, one I always took out of town visitors to, and I'm so glad we were by ourselves this trip. The fried green tomatoes were tasteless and burned and my once favorite crabcakes were half their size and wet inside. Everything that came out of the fryer smelled like old sneakers. Won't be back, regrettably.
Our party of 4 this evening did not have a pleasant dining experience but I will not go into details of why. I will say however that the manager Richard "made it right" and I will be coming back. Thanks Richard, you did what a manager is supposed to do.
Nothing like the first time my wife and I went there. This time the service was slow, they brought out the rest of my family's dinner and 10 minutes later realized they forgot to put mine in, so I watched everyone else eat until I finally was served 30 minutes late. Not worth the money, and the server didn't even come over to check, he sent the assistant. I complained after my bill came, and the offered to take off just an appetizer, big deal, why not our overpriced pitcher of sangria.
It was great on all times I went the service was good food was great.
Very good location. Coming from Gaithersburg, I was early on our lunch with a group of 13. Waiters and waitresses are hardworking. Our waitress was very patient and fast in getting our orders. Food were served on time. Everybody enjoyed our lunch. Planning to take my fAmily and grandchildren there in Colombia.
