About this business

An illustrative American menu is what you should expect at Clyde's. This warm, neighborhood eatery has good views owing to its waterside location. The menu is an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, salads and mouthwatering special dishes. Try Grilled Filet Mignon, Cider Braised Pork Shank or Blackened Maine Haddock for a satiating dinner. The farm-fresh ingredients and the regional twist in preparation methods add more flair to Clyde's. They host private parties as well. Check website for more details.

My friend and I were in town last night for a concert at Merriweather so we aren't from the area. We picked Clyde's because it was close to the venue and advertised as an "American bar". We got there and felt that the atmosphere didn't feel as casual as advertised. We had no issues with waiting and got seated immediately, but they put us at a table that shared a booth with the table next to us. Not a huge issue, just a tad bit awkward Our waiter, Scott, was very nice and attentive and the food came out quickly. I got the s... read more

We are old friends, Clyde's and I, and it seemed to be a good place to have a birthday lunch with my family. Food was okay, but the wait was interminable. Service was spotty, and slow, and we were sorry that that was our choice. Two suggestions. Offer a small vegetable tray with a dip for the kids and adults if the restaurant is understaffed. And, make an apology for a 40 minute wait before anything comes out of the kitchen

Went on a Sunday to walk around the lake. Had our dog with us ad was happy they could accommodate us ithe outside seating after a short wait on a beautiful, busy day. Salad and chicken were great, and our server poite and attentive. Nice atmosphere by the lake.

Food was mediocre. Small portions for the price and if you want to be considered fine dining you should probably figure out how to cook food to order. My sister in law ordered the salmon rare and it was cooked thru. My brother ordered a burger rare and had the same issue with over cooking. Off my list of places to go.

I like clyde's happy hour at the bar. They have the best hamburgers and the service is always good, friendly and professional.

My wife decided that she would like to go to Clyde's for her birthday. So the wife and I and our two teenagers arrived at Clyde's and as we walked through the front door we see a hostess standing at the podium about 5 feet from us who just stood there and smiled, but never acknowledged us, welcomed us, or said anything.... so I walked towards her and she just looked at me...... I said I guess I should tell you how many in our group, and she responded MmmHmm. She asked inside or outside seating, I responded outside, and she s... read more

So I've eaten at Clyde's frequently but can guarantee that my order is almost always wrong. I'm not a picky eater it's just their servers can't seem to follow directions. I've eaten there so many times I know the good servers vs. the not so good and can tell you if you luck up with the better ones you will definitely enjoy your time. Bartenders are usually very attentive and friendly. Food is Seasonal so once you find you're favorite dish... it's gone. Pro tip -ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER.
