Id agree with the majority of the reviews below - this place is far below average. Dont waste your time, youll just leave disappointed and waste your money. There are a large number of clubs in the Cleveland area that offer substantially more to their members than this tired, dreary building.
This has always been a lovely club but over the last year or so, the Clifton CLub has returned to the spectacular service meeting our demanding expectations EVERYTIME. The food is outstanding, the staff is helpful, friendly and professional and the actual club has been restored and remodeled. I am proud to be a member.
Ive said it before and ill say it again ! This joint is nothing but a dirty SLOP-HOUSE ! Filthy establishment with putrid food - employees are a bunch of monkeys and the place is run by disgusting white trash ! This is MY review and you can eat it !
While being raised in a brothel in Grease i once heard an old adage. Money cant buy class. Nothing could be more true, or the attempt more sadly pathetic, than this club and their members. Of the hundreds of Greasy fathers i had during my childhood they, at least, gave my one of my mothers a 10 cent tip after theyre "visit". This worthless wanna-be-a-club has as much pride and class as a rotting bucket of dead fish. Being a twenty year member of the Clifton Club, I heartily disagree with the other reviews, which pretty much look like they were all written by one disgruntled person. Service has always been an issue but everyone has always tried hard. Food has always been high quality / just occasionally comes out cold. If thats the case--send it back and have them warm it up. Lots of options out there. If you dont like something-depart.
I have never seen a more pathetic attempt at class. A miserable establishment managed by absolute incompetence. This is the bottem of the barrel excuse for a 3rd world private club.
I wont be a member anymore. I give up. Its that simple. Our family has wasted almost 5 years at a huge disappointment and a pathetic waste of our money. It was supposed to be special. It wasnt. Fine dining ? A joke. The fish was spoiled every time. Disgusting. The food used to be good - very good. Not any more. Its cheap, lousy and over priced. They think they theyre so classy with cheap parties and cheap wine. I wont waste my time anymore, thats it.
