As a physician, I believe the FIRST and most pivotal step to helping patients is building trust. This is done by listening to you and reviewing your medical history in a comprehensive manner, rather than just reading your MRI/images. My goal is to FIRST diagnose and THEN treat your medical problems using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. Dr Baker has been treating me for many years. I literally trust him with my life. The last two Saturdays he has been in and has given epidurals for a hip bursitis and saciatic nerve pain. He is doing this to help me travel next week because my son is very ill in Michigan. The staff also knows my story. Special thanks to Danielle, Jamie, And Troy who shared kind words and even hugs. There are others whose names I don’t know. I thank them all. Kathy Unger
My osteoarthritis advanced to spinal stenosis and the cartilage in my lumbar section was gone. Bone on bone severe pain which prevented me from walking. Also I dislocated my right shoulder twice. The cartilage was torn. Bone on bone pain limiting the use of my right arm. Dr Baker performed the minimally invasive Radiofrequency Ablation [RFA] procedures on my spine and shoulder. Takes about 45 min. No pain and happy back and happy shoulder. Dr Clifford Baker is the best.
NovaSpine is another word for factory medicine in AZ. There are so many older people with pain that the place is a zoo. You never see an MD unless you are having a procedure. All continuing care is done by revolving door PAs - some are better than others. You are a number, get in line, get stuck with a needle and move to check out AND the first question you are asked is not what hurts but what insurance you have. They want to be paid on a volume Medicare business. Go elsewhere.
Dr. Baker was so compassionate. He took his time and listened to me. After two treatments I am back to enjoying my life. I highly recommend Dr Baker and his staff
Very thorough. Always on time. Knowledgeable.
Having been to other pain management providers in the East Valley, I am more than grateful to have Dr. Baker in the West Valley. His attention to detail, use of a multi faceted approach to my pain issues, and procedural treatment technique are far above the experiences I have had with other providers. He was recommended by a terrific physical therapist. Together, both have given me significantly improved outcomes with my degenerative disc disease issues, which will always be with me.
Very unprofessional and incompetent staff like the doctor! Left with more pain then I started with, beware! Lots of excess charges and incorrect charges. This is a churn and burn facility!
Dr. Baker helped me and now he is helping my 91 yr. old father. He is the best!
As a veteran and chronic back pain sufferer, Dr Bakers' name has came up a lot by fellow veterans through out the valley. Working for the State of Arizona, I meet lots of people in pain. When i couldn't take it anymore, to be another number at a large cattle like pain institute, I called Nova Spine to see Dr. Baker. They got me in right away, He told me the truth, not just a "well lets try this" mentality. He has went out of his way to explain EVERYTHING. I tell Everyone about him. -S Evans.
