I talked to Steve ***** about my buckling floors and questioned him about the structural warranty. He was supposed to call me back but it no surprise that he didn't and now refuses to answer my calls. He and I did a walk through there were plenty of issues and only a few were addressed. I got the run around when I called and asked about them coming back. I wouldn't recommend this team of swindlers to my enemies. Go to a reputable company when looking to buy a home.

Business response:

Hi Sharon, we appreciate you reaching out. Clayton Homes strives to provide a world-class customer experience, and we apologize for your frustrations. Your home is 6 years out of our manufacturer's warranty period, and the retail location you purchased your home from has no obligation to visit your home and make repairs.

WORST customer service I've ever experienced. We have a water leak and have been waiting for months to get someone out to repair, not to mention a handful of other items. Wish I would have done my homework and come here before buying.

Business response:

Hi Mike, thank you for reaching out. Clayton Homes and our teams strive to provide world-class customer service. We spoke with the home building facility and they have techs at your home today.

We bought our home 2years ago from Clayton of Lebanon MO. I would not recommend anyone purchasing from them, I had three sales people Austan being the worst. I did all of the paperwork with the lender myself with no help from Clayton. I had Austan tell me that he wasn't even sure if he wanted to sell me the house, he didn't like my attitude. I have had un-level floors, drywall cracks, cracked brick wall, water under my home and many other issues. The service manager Adam, has dodged me from the beginning all he was worried a... read more

Business response:

Colleen, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us. Clayton Homes strives to provide a world-class customer experience, and we feel that we have done so in sending our teams out to the home on many occasions for cosmetic repair, even outside of the 30 day warranty period. The retail location has agreed to schedule a final walk-through per the state, and they will be contacting you soon in regards to this appointment.

I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful service in my life then I did at Clayton Homes of Albemarle. Actually the disrespect only came from one person, a sales lady named Kim Register. Here is how the day played out... Me and my fiance' went to Clayton Homes in Albemarle, NC on Saturday 10/02/21 and was greeted by a very nice lady who was gave us some very delightful words of encouragement about our home buying experience. Then we was giving keys to go look at all the homes that were on the lot, to see what we l... read more

I went in person to Clayton homes in Auburndale, Fl. 2 ladies were outside when I got out of my car. Neither of them spoke or said anything, not even hello. When I walked inside, one of the ladies seemed less interested in me being there. Immediately when I asked her about homes.. she was short, abrupt and did not give me any information about their homes other then" I dont even know the prices. She said they do not make moduler homes right now because of covid and "they start at $200.000 as if that were to deter me of my in... read more

Wood is exposed through the paint in places in less than a year! Now I find out you have only 30 DAYS TO REPORT IT! It's considered cosmetic and your responsibility even though it's a crappy paint job. No wonder this bottom feeder is barely averaging 1 star after 93 reviews. BUYER BEWARE!

Business response:

Doug, thank you for reaching out to *******. As the home is covered under a 1 year structural warranty, the cosmetic warranty is only good for the first 30 days. With the benefits of home ownership come the responsibilities to take care of your home and perform preventive maintenance. Some routine tasks can be performed by you. Others require the services of trained and qualified personnel. The home owner is responsible for minor repairs, and for arranging for the repairs that require the services of trained & qualified pers... read more

âšï¸Beware! The homes have only a one year warranty and after that expires, it's up to owners to fix, even if it is a factory defect. They left a huge hole for the pipes under my shower open allowing for a mice infestation that cost me a loss of thousands of dollars of my property and the loss of personal items I cannot replace. They are refusing to do anything about it because I have passed the one year warranty. Don't waste your money!

Business response:

Kimberly, we appreciate you reaching out and sharing your feedback with us. Clayton Homes strives to provide a world-class customer experience, and we're sorry to hear of your concerns. However, your home is over 10 years old. We did not hear of any concerns from you until recently. Our system only keeps records of customers going back 7 years. Unfortunately we are unable to assist you with any requests. Our homes carry a one-year manufacturer's warranty, and we provide a homeowner's manual to our customers that details ways... read more

Absolutely horrible. Yes, their prices are lower than anywhere else locally but it's not worth it. They drag their feet. I mean they DRAAGG every single step of the home buying process out. I closed on my mobile home in December 2020 and it is August 2021 and I am still not living in my home. They took 2 months just to 'file paperwork' with my lender. They took 2 to 3 more months to build my home. They took another 2 months to move it. And it looks like it will be another 2 months before they finish giving me my hook ups and... read more
