Worth trying! My husband and I went in to the Clay Oven for the lunch buffet. I was a bit nervous about liking it and didn't really know what to expect. But I enjoyed it! The chicken tikka was delicious! I would have given it 5 stars, but there wasn't much choice for picky 4 year olds, my only complaint.
Delicious We will often get take out from Clay Oven and the food is always delicious. I am partial to their chicken tikki masala! They have the best Indian food in Frederick. Check it out for yourself!
Horrific food and service What a terrible experience! I tried this restaurant for lunch after I saw it and purchased a coupon from restaurant.com. The service was horrific! We had to ask for a menu that took the waiter over 5 minutes to bring to the table. We ordered drinks that took even longer... After reviewing the menu, we decided to have the buffet. Highly recommend Clay Oven has an excellent lunch buffet! The food has always been fresh, hot, and the naan is moist and soft. The chicken tikka masala and saag paneer are two favorites, as well as the vegetable pakora (fritters). I definitely recommend for a fast, inexpensive, and spicily delicious lunch/dinner!
YUMMMY! IT was great all around! The food, service, and value were wonderful. The buffet has a great selection for a GREAT price. It has become one of my favorite places to eat!
Great Indian Food... I love Indian food and was excited when someone from work suggested this place. I am so glad it measured up and surpassed my expectations. The people were extremely friendly and very helpful. I think we all enjoyed the lunch buffet. Maybe a little too much. Try the rice pudding desert, it is awesome.
RecommendedMy wife and i ate dinner there tonight and it was DELISH. We cleaned our plates. The owner can over and chatted with us after we ate. 10 out of 10. Would eat there again.

Clay Oven was the restaurant that told me it’d be OK to move to Frederick from DC. “There will be good Indian food,” I thought to myself. And so I came, and so there is! Love the staff, who make a good show of remembering my face. :-) Love the food, which is quintessential North Indian. Just a comfortable place with awesome food. Love it.
