First time here on recommendation from friends. Glad we listened. The food was top notch, the root beer ice cream freeze even better, but the most impressive part? The amount of care the owner showed to every one of his customers even thought they were SLAMMED. It's thought to find the combo of GREAT food, atmosphere AND service. I hope this place is around along time.

We were visiting San Diego for my son's birthday and brought along his two friends. We saw the Yelp reviews and thought we'd give the malt shop A try. We were not disappointed! The adults had delicious burgers and the kids had "the best chicken nuggets ever"! The owner treated us royally. He let the birthday boy pick any dessert on the house! I recommend this place without reservation, no pun intended.

Although I didn't eat any food any only had a shake, it's an awesome place for a child's birthday party. I'm planning on going again, this time to eat!
