Clarity is unique. It’s one of those few rare gems of a restaurant where you truly can feel the love and passion in Chef John and his teams cooking. The food here demonstrates something many restaurants fall short on, “passion.” I found so often, especially in DC that the Chefs are tired and their dishes are just mundane, mediocre, same old fair thrown on a plate. It is a little gem! I stopped in for a quick lunch and the food is exquisite. I had the crab salad. Don't let the petite portion fool you, it is just enough and the most delicious sweet lump crab. Then came the shrimp bisque which was heaven in a bowl! Good size shrimp and little bits of andouie sausage with whole kernals of sweet corn and who knows what other magic stirred in.
