Restaurant has decent seafood, nightly specials and an excellent shrimpburger. We get takeout a lot.

We eat here whenever we are in the area....love the steaks...omelets ...seafood...the pineapple nut pie is awesome.

I will never go back. It was the worst food that we have had in a long time. The steak was very fatty & the shrimp was salad shrimp. What a waste of 160.00 for 4 adults & 2 toddlers.

Good Place To Spend 50th Anniversary – My husband and I went to Emerald Isle for our 50th anniversary and had a wonderful time staying at The Clam Diggers Inn. I thought it was a bit expensive during season but would go again off season if we get the opportunity. We found it to be clean and the staff was very nice. It was nice to just go downstairs for breakfast and then plan our day. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean at night. The pool was clean and we enjoyed swimming and sunning there. Clamdigger Inn – What a disappointment. It felt like being in a dilapidated nursing home. I think the staff was miserable because they have to work there. There are so many better restaurants on the island. Clean, better and fresh food, and polite servers. Just Gross!

We love the Clamdigger Our family has been many times. We love the homey feel and the fact that its right on the beach. The staff is very patient with kids, the restaurant is well run and tasty. We really hate the fact that they allow smoking in the lobby, and in fact, some staff, themselves, smoke. We love the fact that they allow dogs for a small deposit.
