Good but beware – All I can say is that if you order a double drink, they charge you for two single drinks. As in, if a rum and coke is $7, a double rum and coke is $14. It can add up pretty quick! I wish they had told us that before we got the bill. For the rest, their menu has a wide variety, the food is pretty good and we had fantastic service.

I love Claim Jumper! – So the prices are kinda high, but definently worth the portion sizes (don't worry, you'll have lunch tomorrow). Service at the Redmond one is okay, but I find them to be nicer at the Tukwila location. Faves: Bacon Cheddar soup and the Calamari (I love it!). Only complaint I have is management at Redmond wasn't very polite on one experience with a drink.

Used to come here all the time... – When I first moved to the eastside, this was a place I would come often with my boyfriend and we would sit in the bar and enjoy an appetizer/meal. I think we kept going back for their variety on their menu. We have since learned that it is just so hit and miss, that I would rather spend my dining out dollar elsewhere. You will always get plenty of food, when it arrives. You will always get service, eventually, but about half the time, one of our orders was wrong. Very comfortable environme... read more

Big Portions, Big Lines, Big Bellies – Expect to work up an appetite waiting for a table at this place...it's very busy so call ahead to put your name on the waiting list. Once you're seated though, get ready to eat, the menu is extensive and the food portions are every bit as large. Don't go to the Claim Jumper if you're on a diet-it's tough to find "healthy" menu items. The food quality is pretty good (solid casual dining type quality). The atmosphere is kind of unique given the decor...it's like The Cheesecake Factory (bu... read more

Mixed Bag – I've been a "secret shopper" for the Claim Jumper for close to a year, so I've eaten there many times. It can be really hit or miss. Yes, the portions are huge and a good value (particularly the side salads), but not always great. Usually good though. Unfortunately the best item was the appetizer spare ribs which is no longer on the menu. Burgers, fish and chips, lemon bar creme brulee, are very good. Friendly attentive service, although there's usually always a huge wait to get in.

I live in Louisiana but I spent a few months in Seattle recently. The one resteraunt I wish we had here is Claim Jumpers. They would do very well here where people love huge servings. I thought they were the best value we found there and seasoned their food well also. The one complaint we had in Seattle is that resturaunts seem to be afraid to season their food. Much of it was bland especially when one is accustomed to N'arlins style cooking.

1 step down from Hungry-Man frozen meals – If you like can't tell the difference between fresh and frozen food then this place is for you. Long waits for huge quantities of sub-par food. I spent $13 on pork loin, and it came on a bed of soggy, lukewarm, obviously frozen vegetables, and smothered in ridiculous amounts of bland bbq sauce. Rude service and our food took forever. I've been here more than once and have yet to have a good experience. I will not be going back.

Worth the wait – We went to Claim Jumper at about nine in the evening and it took 55 minutes to seat our party of 12. The food was worth the long wait though. I picked off everyone's plates and everything I had was great. Try the bread pudding and the chocolate chip calzone for dessert.

Great Salads & Appetizers – This place is known for its impossible-to-eat-it-all portions and the meat entrees. However, as a vegetarian (accompanying her meat-craving husband) I was pleasantly surprised to find many things I could eat. I had a pear-walnut salad that was fabulous (couldn't keep the hubby away from it) and very filling. We got their most popular appetizer, the potato cheese cakes, and that was great too (comes with a "salsa" that's really a spicy slaw) -- the appetizer could have been my meal. Oh, he says his... read more
