Happy Hour at Claim Jumper – We found little to recommend CJ's Happy Hour, however the hours are from 3-7 which is a little unusual. The drink specials are fine but the Lemon Drop wasn't really muddled and we tried the White Sangria and wasn't impressed. The Happy Hour food specials are pretty standard with most being deep fried (ugh). I would recommend the roasted tomato flatbread and maybe the sliders (served two to the order, not the usual three). I know the restaurant portions are huge but that doesn't apply to the bar f... read more

The usual – A bite of amerca. Well maybe thousands of bite in one order but it is worth the money. The service has always been good. Recommended.

Gold mining and dining unite at this kitschy all-American eatery. – In Short Established in 1977, the Claim Jumper draws families, seniors and professionals with a mix of Old-West decor and a reliable menu of American classics. Logs, corrugated tin, rock and warm fireplaces embellish the unique ambience. Signature plates include hickory-smoked pork ribs, rotisserie chicken and barbecued beef tri-tip; the menu also offers tortilla chicken soup, potpies, wood-fired pizzas, and the popular six-layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake. Huge portions of low quality food. – Unfortunately I had to visit Claim Jumper again for a business function. This was about the third time I have eaten there and have yet to get what I would consider decent food. Everytime the food has been bland and tasteless. My lastest attempt I got the Rib-Eye which was tough and the blue cheese tasted like sour cream left out on the counter too long. Other dishes I have tried to my dismay were Chicken-Pot Pie and their Calamari dinner. Not a single one of these dishes warrants ever eat... read more

Be prepared to eat for the next few days! This place has some of the largest portions that I have seen! It is a given that you will walk out with bags of food that you did not finish. The zuchinni spears are a must, and after you leave room for dessert (VERY difficult to do!), go for the biggest piece of choclate cake that you have seen! A slice can be split by a few people easily! If you go during dinner hours be prepared to wait -- it's a very popular place for good reason!

Huge portions, great service, but make reservations if you can – Definitely the words Hefty, Hefty, Hefty comes to mind. I'm referring to the food portions. I think most people can get away with sharing a dish there easily and still leave full. Its obvious that the portions are huge since many people actually take a lot of it home with them if you ever watched them stream out of the restaurant. The menu selection is huge. I would almost compare the size of the menu to that of the Cheesecake Factory. In fact I would almost co... read more

Claim Jumper is awesome! – When it first opened, I kept hearing so many good things about it. When I finally went, I definately wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was ok. Claim Jumper is one of the best American food restaurants that I have been to.
