Members of the Italian Heritage Club in Sun City Palm Desert California took a bus to San Diego Little Italy and had a wonderful lunch at Covico 1845 restaurant on Indian Avenue. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was just terrific it was like one happy family I can't rave enough about this place Shirley and I will be back in early October for the Italian feast can't wait. It's like being back in the old Italian neighborhood back in Chicago

I spent a weeks in Italy in 2015. I grew up in New York and my whole family is Italian. I decided to go vegan about three weeks ago. I never in my wildest dreams thought I could have real authentic Italian food ever again. Boy was I wrong. Hands-down the best eggplant Parma I have ever had almond cheese? Who cares what it is, it's delicious!!!!!

My new favorite restaurant in Little Italy! Authentic Italian food that's super fresh & flavorful. There's a mix of both Northern & Southern Italian specialties. Service is friendly & attentive. The owners, chef, as well as many waitstaff were all from Italy. The space has a great vibe & feels very inviting. Everything we ordered was delicious and made with quality ingredients. We'll definitely be back to try more!
