Since my first visit to San Diego over a year ago, Civico has been my favorite! I went there the day my now husband proposed, when we got married, and for every birthday, anniversary, and milestone you can think of. As a vegan, I love that there's an entirely vegan menu. As a human being, I love the impeccable service and lovely atmosphere.

Vegan menu. Portobello mushroom calamari was excellent, a terrific surprise. The basil and olive oil dipping sauce was also really nice, with the flavor of fresh basil shining through. I was disappointed in the "highly recommended" mushroom ravioli with truffles. Barely any taste of truffle and an overall bland character to the ravioli and the sauce.
