Equipment is 50% used but decent, 50% clean, dirty rahs here and there, bathrooms 50% clean, need new benches, also ones that dont have open seams, seam hurt when laying down for flys, decent but def sub par...but prob why it is affordable
Welcome to the newest yet the most poorly managed, neglectfully maintained and straight up unhygienic and disgusting City Sports Club location in the Bay Area! When this location opened up, it was the shiniest location in Hayward. This gave local residents an option to the existing locations on Whipple and Hesperian. Yet in under two years, this has become the worst choice. I avoid it and prefer to go to one of the other locations even though this is right next to where I live. The lockers are broken and damaged. Why does management not respond to negative reviews, that is a red flag and implies a lack of accountability, which infers there is no corrective action in place to deal with the customer complaints. The biggest issues, I keep seeing are the lack of cleanliness, which is a big issue for a gym. Pictures of roaches and dirty underwear in the sauna. Management should be responding and letting the members know this is going to be handled and things are in place to mitigate this moving forward. Not a good look.
Nice clean gym lots of equipments. Pool is always has issues. Different classes to take. Customer service is not the best. They really don't want to help you with machines if you have a question about equipments. The only way you really get help is to sign up for a trainer. Half staff are on their phones. They need to increase their prices. Too many people. Other than that everything is pretty good.
