I came for a free pass I get even by text, I had my appointment today at 9am they had me waiting and finally a little girl supposed to be the manager told me I wasn't able to get a free pass at least I signed for a membership, she not even gave me her name she was rude and racist. I feel offended and dissapointed I was going to cancel my other gym membership but with the way I was treated forget it. I'm a elite athlete world champion in boxing. If I could give this gym negative stars I would. Other than my trainer there, who was amazing this staff is horrible. Was under contract for personal training and hurt myself and have to have surgery from this. They said you are out of luck cant do anything about it. Upon my further review of the contract there is an out both for medical disability and a buyout option. Which neither time ***** told me on the phone about. I was a member of LAF in ***** **********. I was harassed by training staff not to let my friend who was also a member train me as it was taking away from their busines. That I would have to sign up for training sessions with them. I asked where does it say in any contract that we can't do that? No answer. Another day we were again harassed and my friend quit. Burlington Club.Do your homework before joining!First and Last payment plus Initiation Fee followed by an annual fee!Member Services not interested in waiving anything.Gym is ok.Showers are disgusting!!

Cancelling your membership is a joke. They say you have to come in to the club in person even though they can see the phone number youre calling from. They never send an email to confirm the cancellation so if someone else really was trying to cancel my account I would get the email and be able to stop it. When I finally did go in they did not even ask for my ID or make me fill out/sign anything!!! This is not a business, it is more like a criminal Syndicate. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.I had a membership with this Company for about a year, for the last 6 months I did not set foot in there due to the fact that I moved out of the area. They do not allow you to cancel your membership except in person. I cancelled my membership after a lot of back and forth with multiple club staff members two weeks before my billing date. LA Fitness still charged my card. They make it nearly impossible to cancel and then blame oh so and so was supposed to cancel it to avoid having to process your cancellation.

Sign up is simple. Canceling membership requires inordinate amounts of effort on the consumer's part. Either show up in person, when the General Manager is on site & available (allegedly 9 am to 5 pm, standard business hours for working professionals so the consumer has to take time out of work to cancel) and go through that process OR they tell you to print a piece of paper out, mail it with tracking at the consumer's own expense, and maybe they'll cancel it. I've been a member with LA fitness for years and have attended the ************* location. Recently I had the most terrible experience when giving my close friend a 7 day VIP pass to try out the gym. Keep in mind my friend is from 24 hour and was thinking on transitioning over if all went well. As we arrived and checked in we went over some questions with *************************** (Store Manager). He was very hostile and pushy with his sales pitch...
